We believe great ideas begin with questions. Curiosity fuels our exploration of new technologies, materials, and possibilities.
We unite beauty and engineering, ensuring form and function work together without compromise.
We create because we love the process. That sense of enjoyment and passion is embedded in everything we make.
We believe the best outcomes come from shared ideas, unexpected partnerships, and open exchange.

Hisham is a design engineer of inquisitive nature with a strong focus on bridging engineering and design. From concept development to engineering design and manufacturing, he is driven by the pursuit of innovative solutions to complex problems.
Fascinated by how things work from a young age, he would often take things apart but rarely put them back together. A dare from his mother to attempt to put it back together ended up killing it for good. Though the computer was lost, it sparked a lifelong curiosity in many things and how systems function—and fail.
At Singapore Polytechnic, he spent much of his time in machine shops and design studios, where he developed a strong interest in problem-solving through making. After graduation, he founded Ideal Factory, an R&D-support practice.
Following several years of projects and navigating burnout, he joined forces with Shafiq at Mēkā Innovation during the COVID-19 period, where the team evolved the company into a product innovation agency combining engineering and business expertise.
He has since moved on from mēkā and continues to pursue work and personal projects at the intersection of art, engineering, design and innovation.

Mui Ping is a social designer and illustrator. With a background in user experience, product design, and project management in Singapore, she is driven by a commitment to purposeful design and meaningful outcomes for users.
Alongside her design practice, she has a deep love for drawing. This led her to create
Bleak Illustration, a personal illustration brand that documents life’s hardships through quirky, expressive visuals.
Her exploration of making extended into 3D printing and further studies in 3D Design at NAFA, strengthening her interest in material practice and experimentation.
Over the past 6 years, Mui Ping served as Assistant Director at Participate in Design, where she led participatory projects with grassroots organisations, public agencies, and local communities. Through co-creation, she worked to develop design solutions that improve everyday lives and strengthen community connections.
She later went on to expand her practice as a Social Innovator at WeCreate Studio, working with rural communities to develop community-centred strategies that foster long-term impact and sustainability.
Outside of work, she has a well-known weakness for adorable animals.
